Peatland Code (Private Finance)
The Peatland Code is a voluntary standard for UK peatland projects wishing to market the climate benefit of restoration and provides a mechanism to support private finance for peatland restoration and long-term management of damaged peatland.

Peatland Code Event September 2023 - Presentations
We ran an event in Shetland on 1st September 2023 to learn more about unlocking private finance for peatland restoration. The event included a site visit to a recenlty restored site at Girlsta and presentations from Stephen Corcoran, a Peatland Ecologist and Peatland Code Auditor with Soil Association, Sue White one of our local Peatland ACTION Project Officers, and Becky Shaw from Peatland ACTION at NatureScot.
