An opportunity exists to join the Board of Shetland Amenity Trust to shape Shetland’s heritage future.
As a Trustee for the Shetland Amenity Trust, you will not only have the opportunity to shape the future of Shetland's heritage, but also serve as an ambassador for the Trust, engaging with employees, volunteers, and local stakeholders to ensure the Trust operates in a way that benefits the community as a whole.
Set up 40 years ago and dedicated to Shetland’s heritage in all its forms, Shetland Amenity Trust is going through a transition period. Trustees have a formal role in agreeing the strategic direction and ensuring the Trust’s finances are in good order. However, the role is broader than that and gives you the opportunity to influence how the Trust works, especially with other local interested groups.
This is an unpaid role, which is challenging, yet rewarding.
We will welcome applications from anyone who has a connection to and passion for Shetland’s heritage.
